I saw Peter’s work for the first time at his solo exhibition for Yorkshire Sculpture Park in 2010. From the moment I saw it I loved it, and made it my mission to work together. Since then, we have collaborated on a number of private garden commissions, as well as for Chelsea 2011. His work speaks of the chaos of the natural world and the order imposed on it by our human interventions. The things I value in my friendship with Peter are the more personal times; walking in the woods near his home; sitting at his kitchen table; being in his familiar spaces. All of these things inform the fundamental values that he approaches his work with.
